Acceptable Use Policy For Smartphones

There has been an exponential increase in the usage of smart phones in the last decade. Some students now use smart phones to cheat on tests and assignments. I will develop and acceptable use policy for certain institutes to adopt.

Usage Policy For Smartphones

• Students must switch off their phones and leave it with the teacher or their bag, when writing tests.

• Smartphones should only be allowed in classes when it aids the work the student is doing

• Smartphones should be used as an educational tool rather than a social device

• Phones should be put on silent in classes

• If a phone call is urgent the student must excuse themselves from the classroom and take it outside
